High-level Project Schedule (Summary Gantt Chart)

Document Purpose

The high-level project schedule illustrates summary products/(tasks). The high-level Project Schedule is a graphic overview of the major technical Products and milestones to be delivered during the Project life-cycle. It can be thought of as a simplified Gantt Chart where the complexities of scheduling such as constraints and dependencies are not shown.

A high-level project schedule is ideally used in presentations and can be used to illustrate the schedule component of the Project Plan/(Stage Plan), providing the audience with a summary view of timelines allocated to product delivery.
