Document Purpose

• This template can be completed and provided to an employee as the supporting document each time the employee is paid (A requirement of the Basic Conditions of Employment act in South Africa)

Document Contents

• This Payslip template is compliant to the Basic Conditions of Employment Act and satisfies the content requirements of a payslip as stipulated in the BCEA (Basic Conditions of Employment Act). It includes:
  • Employer�s name and address
  • Worker�s name and occupation
  • Period for which payment is made
  • Total salary or wages
  • Any deductions
  • The actual amount paid
  • If relevant to the calculation of pay:
    • Employee�s pay and overtime rates
    • Number of ordinary and overtime hours worked
    • Number of hours worked on a Sunday or public holiday
    • The total number of ordinary and overtime hours worked in the period of averaging, if a collective agreement to average working time has been concluded
• This document allows for the placement of a company logo (to replace the TemplateTom.com logo)

• List all deductions:
